The recipients must be high schol graduates and be enrolled in, or plan to enroll in six (6) or more credit hours in a vocational or technical program; preference will be given to students who are descendants of Person County veterans who possess leadership ability, good moral character, and demonstrated dependability, with defined goals to complete the course of study; for continuation of the scholarship, students must maintain at least a 2.5 GPA
