R. D. Bumpass Scholarship for Academic Excellence

Graduate of Person High School with GPA of 3.0 or above who plans to enroll in and complete a program of study at PCC; must be a full-time student and enroll in a minimum of twelve (12) credit hours in a vocational or technical program that leads to a diploma or associate degree and maintain a 2.5 GPA to retain the scholarship; will be judged on the basis of academic excellence, leadership ability, character and community service as documented by officials of PHS and letters of reference; recipient may receive financial aid through other federal programs but may not receive any other College-based scholarship award, however, it will not take precedence over the other criteria listed above
